This conceptual commercial for IKEA brings to life the magical feeling of transforming a space. The animation visualizes the quintessential IKEA experience: starting with a single flat-pack box and ending with a complete, beautifully furnished room. The core of this project was a unique workflow where the entire interior design—from furniture layout to the final decorative touches—was conceptualized and styled in collaboration with AI, which then served as the blueprint for the 3D animation.
The Concept: "Home in a Box"
The creative concept is a literal and whimsical interpretation of the IKEA promise. We begin in a nearly empty room, filled with possibility. The single box doesn't just contain furniture; it holds the potential for a home. With a touch of magic, it bursts open, and each piece finds its place, effortlessly assembling into a cozy, stylish, and fully-realized bedroom. The animation captures that satisfying moment of completion when a house truly becomes a home.

For this project, AI was not used for flashy effects, but as a sophisticated partner in interior design and virtual staging.
1. AI as the Interior Designer The first step was to design the perfect Scandinavian-inspired bedroom. Instead of spending days creating mood boards, I used AI image generation tools like Midjourney to act as my virtual interior designer.
